6. Fees and Payment

Fees for our services are quoted in Malaysian Ringgit (MYR) and are set out in the engagement letter for each matter. Our standard service fees are: Commercial Lease Review at MYR 2,800, Personal Injury Consultation at MYR 1,200, and Regulatory Compliance Audit at MYR 6,800. For matters outside our listed services, fees will be discussed and agreed in writing before work commences. Payment terms are specified in the engagement letter. We reserve the right to adjust our fees with reasonable notice for future engagements.

7. Confidentiality

All information shared with Cerulean Pact in the context of a legal engagement is treated as confidential and is protected by solicitor-client privilege under the Legal Profession Act 1976 of Malaysia. We will not disclose your confidential information to third parties without your consent, except where required by law, court order, or applicable professional obligations.

8. Disclaimers

Our website and its content are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Either party may terminate a legal engagement in accordance with the terms set out in the engagement letter. Cerulean Pact reserves the right to decline or cease acting on a matter where a conflict of interest is identified, where professional obligations prevent us from continuing, or where you fail to comply with the terms of the engagement. Upon termination, any fees due for work already completed remain payable. Sections relating to confidentiality, intellectual property, limitation of liability, and indemnification survive termination.

12. Dispute Resolution

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these terms or our services shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia, specifically the courts located in the state of Johor. Before initiating formal proceedings, both parties agree to attempt informal resolution through good-faith discussions. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally within 30 days, either party may refer the matter to mediation before proceeding with litigation.

13. General Provisions

These Terms and Conditions, together with any applicable engagement letter, constitute the entire agreement between you and Cerulean Pact regarding your use of our website and services. If any provision of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision. Cerulean Pact may not assign its rights or obligations under these terms without your consent, except in the event of a merger or reorganisation of the practice.
